Bonding Families Together Through Play.
Hi, I’m Jane! I’m a local mum and professional Nursery Nurse who started To the Moon and Back almost 5 years ago. I have always had a passion for learning, sensory, and creativity! You can find my toy shop at Barleylands Craft Village in Essex. Come and say hello. I’ll be happy to talk you through all of my beautiful and unique sensory toys and gifts.
For unique sensory toys and educational support, take a look at my range here! Any questions, please feel free to get in touch!

Our Sensory Toys
You can encourage your child to learn so many new things and increase their communication skills from an early age with Sensory Toys. From puppets to fidget toys, musical games to doodle pillowcases, To the Moon and Back has an incredible selection of sensory items for children of any age.
Sensory toys can also be an incredible way to support children with autism, anxiety and other needs. These types of toys can help children on the spectrum, or those suffering from anxiety, by engaging their senses, providing feedback to their sensory systems, and allowing them to focus.
So, what's so great about sensory toys? This great form of play can help develop fine motor skills, encourage language development, and improve problem-solving early.
To the Moon and Back is a trusted supplier of sensory items and toys to local schools, charities and support groups, and I want to continue helping families and groups across Essex and the UK. If you would like to enquire about a large order, or just need some advice, please get in touch!
Find the Perfect Toy
Take a look at my latest range of beautifully designed, educational and traditional toys. We only source the highest quality items from around the world. I have always preferred well-designed, wooden toys to cheap, plastic ones that break after a week!
Our range now includes Glow in the Dark T-Shirts, Curiosity Cubes, Touch and Feel Insects Puzzle and Traditional Story Sets.

Our Campaign For More SEN Friendly Shops
We have noticed that businesses across Essex and the UK can do far more to support children with Special Education Needs in their shops or venues. Our campaing has reached local newspapers and magazines including In Your Area and Vision. Our shop is set out to encourage play with toys sitting out on countertops ready to be interacted with and we always offer customers the chance to 'try before they buy' in store, knowing that textures, colours and levels of interaction are all important factors for a child to consider.
Parents of children with ASD are reassured before they enter the shop thanks to an outdoor sign we have created which lists the ways in which we can help them or their child.
Whether it be turning the music down or off, turning down the lights or giving customers space, businesses only need to make a small change to make a huge difference.
